Speaker 1: 00:03 I'd like you to use one and only one word to describe Firebaugh. Speaker 2: 00:09 Hmm. Speaker 1: 00:10 From your heart. Speaker 2: 00:11 Without crying? Speaker 1: 00:13 I actually have cried so many times today that if you cry it will make me feel belonging. Speaker 2: 00:17 Well, it makes me think of my dad. Speaker 3: 00:24 If I look at this shelter, people rallied around this shelter being in the community where before and if you go to any other community it's like not in my backyard. You know, I don't want a homeless shelter around there. But that's the way we are. We love on people. Speaker 4: 00:42 I talk about love in this building and this campus a hundred times more than I do at home. And frankly my kids here need it in a way that my kids at home don't need it. And that's our obligation, is to make sure they feel loved and safe. It's not that their parents don't love them, that's not the case at all. It's does society love them? Speaker 5: 01:07 The world today is divided about what is going on and how to move forward. In this show we are going to tell you stories. Stories about zip codes. Micro-economies, really, that face issues we hear about every day. But like the rest of us, strive to raise families, have careers, and make contributions. At the end, our stories are stories of people, their economies, and most vividly, their communities. They are then by definition stories of hope. Please join us.
